The main side project I work on during weekdays evenings and weekends. I share detailed travel guides, itineraries and other advice for smart travel. I focus on Portugal as a destination, but also other places I've visited, mainly in Asia and Europe.

Before the pandemic, it reached 220k unique readers per month and has been featured in Momondo and Lonely Planet. I've also established content partnerships with brands like Skyscanner, Trivago, and EasyJet.

Marketing Manager at Harvest

🌎 remote, 2020-2021

Led the acquisition marketing efforts. Managed a 7-figure annual budget for digital advertising campaigns (paid search, business review sites, paid social) while exploring other more sustainable ways to acquire customers.

Helped with product marketing projects, like optimizing the website and revamping all onboarding email drips for new signups.

Reported on most of marketing metrics: site analytics, conversion rate optimization, SEO, paid ads, paid social, landing pages, and email campaigns.

I led product messaging, including onboarding, retention, and win-back email drips, as well as the monthly newsletter and product announcements.

Working together with UX/UI, Design, and Product teams, I also launched new research-backed content pieces and took ownership of user metrics and website analytics, creating user surveys and dashboards with key marketing metrics to inform the wider company.

Marketing Campaign Analyst at Merkle

🇪🇸 Barcelona, 2014-2017

Our semi-distributed team was responsible for the data management and automation of all marketing campaigns, including email, SMS, and push notifications (e.g. the yearly iPhone launch for O2/Telefónica UK).

Used complex databases with 33M+ users and worked with creative teams to improve conversions of the messages. I also led data integration projects  to deliver a consistent message across all channels.

Internally, I've created templates for campaign planning and reports to inform about overall campaign performance and target goals.

One of the largest telecommunications company in the world. I joined Vodafone Portugal and worked in international projects with the wider Vodafone Group.

I joined Vodafone as a technical analyst and developer to improve their internal CRM system, used by customer service agents, account managers, and store staff.

Projects ranged in size and complexity - from finding the best placement of a button to handling workflows for complex customer requests via app, website, or a physical store.

Also managed multi-team development projects: from initial scoping, developments in database with 3+ million users and final QA and release.

ISPUP is the major Public Health Research Institute in Portugal.

Managed public health databases of epidemiology studies and created reports for publishing in scientific articles and reviews.
